Schools

The Call for Education

After Destiny orphanage was established, the Kitende’s came together and realized that they didn’t want to just feed and house these kids. They wanted the kids to grow, to thrive, to really live. In Uganda, there is no such thing as real free schooling. All schools cost money, and a lot of times people cannot afford to send their children to school. The Kitende’s were determined to have their kids educated. They began searching for affordable schools with Christian values that they trusted, and realized that they couldn’t find a dream school to send these kids to.

So… the Kitende’s built a school.

The Schools Now

Once the school was completed, the Kitende’s opened the doors to the public. They offered an affordable school that taught its students how to become contributing members of society, and instilled good, Christian values. They teach their students about life and the love of God. Destiny Primary school and Touch a Life Secondary school are still up and running in Masaka, serving the community and loving everyone they come into contact with.
