Worship Tabernacle Church, Kalambi

Welcome To
Worship Tabernacle Church

About 30 minutes outside of Kampala in a village called Kalambi. This village was known as a small drunkard witchcraft infested community. There were bars on every corner, many people were addicted to alcohol. A spirit of witchcraft, apathy and poverty had consumed the area.

The Lord gave Dr. Mark a heart for Kalambi, and he was determined to see God transform the area the same way God transformed Masaka.

Humble Beginnings

After Pastors Mark and Beatrice Kitende had established ministry in Masaka, God called them to another region of Uganda… this time, a little closer to home.

He immediately began a medical outreach, as the villagers of Kalambi had poor health and no money for medical aid. Out of this outreach was the need for a church. Worship Tabernacle Church started like many of the other churches under Mark Kitende Ministries. Worship and regular services began almost immediately under a tent, with Pastor Mark as the lead pastor. Within a year, the church had grown out of the tent and into a semi-permanent structure that is constantly being built up and improved.

And Now?

Worship Tabernacle Church is exponentially growing. Through church ministry many of the people, who used to spend all their time in the bars, find Christ. The bar owners have had to take their businesses elsewhere. In their place, people have opened up grocery stores, restaurants, salons, and other small businesses.

Kalambi is truly experiencing spiritual & economic shift. Worship Tabernacle is currently in the process of expanding and building more buildings to house their ever-growing ministry. The worship team is a sight to behold, and well-discipled leaders are rising up to prepare to lead their church. We are excited to see as God continues to grow this church and the community around it.
