The Call to Masaka
In the midst of Pastor Beatrice Kitende’s work at a mega church in Kampala, God pressed upon her heart for a region of Uganda called Masaka. At this time, Masaka was still in recovery from the destruction that occurred during the reign of Idi Amin. The area was known as a “preacher’s grave yard”. The town was an Islamic stronghold, devastated by HIV/AIDS epidemic, gross poverty, witchcraft and thick darkness as evidenced by absolute hopelessness that covered the population.
Humble Beginnings
In 1998, God called Pr. Beatrice to plant a church in Masaka area.
And Now?
Good News Church is currently standing tall in the middle of Masaka. The church building is a permanent structure, seating more than 500 people. It is a place of great activity and revival, and is constantly growing. We hope that you will stand with us in prayer to see how it continues to grow and reach the surrounding community. We welcome you to come visit us.
